Print and editorial design

Brochures, books, programmes and packaging — designed here, produced through our print partner, so nobody is guessing about paper.

Print is where a brand stops being a file and becomes an object somebody holds. It is also where brands most often come apart — a colour that looked right on screen goes muddy on uncoated stock, a fold lands through a headline, a spread does not sit flat. We design to the brand book and produce through a dedicated print partner, so the design decisions and the production decisions are made by people who each know their half.

An open printed brochure designed for the Kids Can Act project

« What is included »

What you get

  • Brochures, booklets and programmes — the pieces handed out at an event, a school or a launch, designed to survive being carried home.
  • Magazines and editorial — covers, spreads and a grid that holds across an issue rather than page by page.
  • Pitch decks and proposals — built to be printed and put in a room, not only projected.
  • Packaging — the identity applied to the thing a customer actually opens.
  • Production management — stock, finish, binding and press checks handled with our print partner, so the piece that arrives is the piece we designed.

« Process »

How it runs

  1. Agree the piece, the audience and where it will be handed over
  2. Bring the print partner in early, before the design locks
  3. Design to the brand book, in CMYK and Pantone
  4. Proof on the actual stock, not on a screen
  5. Press check, then production

Frequently asked

Including the one everyone asks about who actually prints it.

01Do you print, or only design?

We design and specify; our print partner produces. That split is deliberate. You get design judgement from designers and production judgement from printers, and you are not paying a design margin on paper.

02Why does a print partner matter?

Because most print problems are not design problems. Stock weight, ink behaviour on uncoated paper, bleed, binding, how a spread sits when the book is open — a printer who is in the conversation early prevents the reprint that a printer quoted at the end does not.

03What do you actually produce?

Brochures, booklets and programmes, magazines and editorial, pitch decks built to be printed, packaging, and the print side of a brand rollout — stationery, signage artwork, collateral.

04Will it match our digital work?

It is held to the same brand book, which specifies colour in CMYK and Pantone alongside hex and RGB precisely so the printed piece and the screen do not drift apart.

05Can you handle a print run we already have a printer for?

Yes. We will design to their specification and talk to them directly about it.
